The oldest quarter of Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, where the cathedral, the house Columbus stayed in, and a dense cluster of historic plazas and churches survive largely intact from the Spanish colonial era.

Vegueta holds the historical core of Las Palmas. The Cathedral of the Canaries anchors the quarter, facing Plaza de Santa Ana alongside the Casas Consistoriales and the Palacio Episcopal.
